Mt barney lodge is family friendly, guided and self-guided bushwalking tracks, kids night adventures, abseiling, and has adventure activities for kids and adults including rock climbing, sunset ecotours and mountain guiding and expeditions. This is a fabulous spot we had a vast time and really enjoyed all the activities. Mt Barney Lodge has retained Eco tourism for many years. Today, Mt Barney Lodge combines a personal and business philosophy to be as sustainable as possible, and bring you a sincere Eco tourism experience. Wood is supplied from fallen trees from the property, or from local landholders land with permission. Televisions are excluded from all buildings in order to foster our guests to be immersed in and explore nature. We choose to support and mentor other local tourism business in the Mt Barney region, and were founding members and facilitators to Discover Mt Barney, which is now a recognized subcommittee of Beau forsake Country Tourism. Mt Barney Lodge also has an active worm farm and permaculture garden with a chock tractor. The permaculture garden provides us with a large variety of herbs and seasonal vegetables. Our permaculture garden is originate for all guests to wander through, and is also a main feature when educating school groups about effortless and plain environmental practices. Mt Barney Lodge is currently planting more trees around the property to aid in offsetting carbon emissions, and to provide an extended habitat for animals. Animal feeding is highly discouraged, as we want to encourage the wildlife to feed by their instinctive means. We have planted an extensive amount of native flowering trees, bush food trees and grasses to feed and house the native wildlife. Other items such as local wine and olive oil are also for sale as a means to encourage the local businesses.
